@Zeviander
Something like this for ya pulling a tank. Think it’s a 42 bunk. -
The one that I've heard the most is about the friend with the black Pete (30 years ago, it was a 359...now, its usually a 379) that blew his horn at a moose and the moose dismantled the truck.
I will tell them that I've blown my air horn at a moose and the moose ran away. The liar will call me a liar. I will then explain that I don't drive a black Pete.Al. Roper, cke, MagnumaMoose and 20 others Thank this. -
Was reading that back in April there was one on US roads with navistar on the door. Which vw truck group which owns scania also owns around 17% share in navistar. So they might be trying to make a step into the US market. But I agree, I'll take the engine in something else. That 17l 630hp 2200tq v8 in a long nose pete would be cool.cke, wore out, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 10 others Thank this.

I don't know if it's still there, but used to be a Howes truck stop on US 1 in ME, just north of the state line. Was one of my regular stops 20 yrs ago, usually with a load of paper rolls out of Jay.
Anyhow, they had a Polaroid of a JB Hunt CO that a moose went after. Guy hit the air horn at it up the road, stopped there for lunch. I should mention the place had great food. But any ways, that moose tore that CO a new one whilst that JB driver was having lunch.
Only time I ever saw proof of that actually happening.Al. Roper, cke, MagnumaMoose and 20 others Thank this. -
I have heard the same story many a times, but I won't honk the horn at a moose...….just in case it was true just once.
I work around moose quite a bit and have never had even the slightest problem with them, but I believe that statistically they can be more dangerous than bears. I do know that they will run right past a running 345 and never pay any attention to it. They have a thought process that does not include fear of humans.Al. Roper, cke, MagnumaMoose and 25 others Thank this. -
Maybe the Moose's sensibilities were insulted by that awful Yellowish Color of the JBH's Tractorscke, MagnumaMoose, SAR and 16 others Thank this.

Doing a little something different today
Al. Roper, cke, MagnumaMoose and 24 others Thank this. -
Loved those big sleepers from bentz. Build a 4300 glider with the 34 in sleeper. Had a glider with the big sleeper and hawk paint job but never built it. Ended up selling it. One of my few regrets.Al. Roper, cke, MagnumaMoose and 21 others Thank this.
