Sounds like what really happen while I was in Flagstaff going to little America.
I drove into Flagstaff with traffic cones and lights up ahead. Wondering what's the big hoop LA. I see state police, local cops and about 4 game warden pickups.
As I get closer I see in median a red Pontiac flipped over In the grass and pine needles. I see something brown and furry.
I thought it was a car hit another animal.
I was wrong I roll by and see an elk head butting the door and rocker panel of this car. WTF!
I get to little America, ask what's going on. Get the response rutting season lady swerved to miss one and rolled car Into median infront of other elk. Game wardens hope it gets tired or bored. They don't expect to shoot the animal. I think lady is still in car.
Strangest thing I've scene in flag. Needless to say I kept driving did not want to. Be around that circus any more.
Where is everyone #5

Welp. Ain’t done a engine in months, so I got one for today..... 2pm pickup- “oh that’s moved to 4pm”
Then 6pm
Now 11pm
I’m thankful that I’ve been notified of this at this time; vs usually I’d get there at 3:30pm and get out of there bout 1am.
Least now I can take care of the honey do list before I try for a nap

Dad (or Pa) had a mid 80's Eagle on the farm however it had a Silver 92 V-8 Detroit in it. I don't remember much about it other than it had the big sleeper, a 13 speed with the round shift knob and a single 3 position selector. The engine I seem to remember was called a Silver Tip 475 or some such thing. Dad said it had plenty of horsepower but NO torque. I was 18 or 19 when he bought it, only drove it a couple times pulling a Landall moving tractors. The one thing that stands out though, the first time I was trying to get it moving with probably a John Deere 8630 (we had about a dozen of those) on the trailer I lugged it really hard, killed it and as soon as I stepped back on the clutch it came back to life. Unbeknownst to me, it was running backwards.
Compared to the 230 Cummins equipped Ford Louisville I learned to drive in, that Eagle was the biggest, baddest and by far the loudest truck I had ever laid eyes on. For all I know it's still out at the farm in the dead equipment row. I know there's a very old Pete with a 350 Detroit (318 with a turbo) and a 4 X 4 air shift sitting out there. Don't know the model but I think it's prior to a 359.cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV, MagnumaMoose and 18 others Thank this. -
