Did you find the keepers and the rest of the valve stem already?

looks like you are going to get away with a valve job on one hole and one new slug if you want to go the quick route.

Just gonna put a new head on it and run it. No visible damage to the head, but they’re cheap for an N14. No damage at all to the piston or liner that I can see. Definitely feel blessed on this deal.

Oh and I was wrong about the keeper. It’s still on the part of the valve stem that broke off. What worries me is WHY did it break?

Maybe just a defective stem, air pocket in the metal maybe?

  7. That was why I said speed reading required.

Didn't you see the multiple paragraphs the quoting numbers and stats.
    I loved the

Thanks, we are getting there just slow. I worked 5 days last week, compaired to three weeks ago I couldn't stand up for more than 30 minutes or turn my head. So better than nothan. I feel worse for your situation, but looks like you may have gotten lucky.

That’s all I can figure. Certainly wasn’t over-revving it. Barely moving with an empty wagon.

You or @johndeere4020 know anything about the CT engine they put in those?

A few paving companies down my way ran them for a year.... didn’t last. Wonder if they were ridden with serious problems with the motor or if the truck itself was just a disaster?

I haven’t seen one of those in FOREVER

Back on the road in my 2005 International 9900ix with an ISX15 pulling a "new to me" 53' Benson all-aluminum flatbed running polished stainless steel sheets from Jersey to Tulsa. Interstate 70 westbound through Indy. I had been running a 2012 Kenworth T-660 with a Paccar/13sp combo after I picked the truck up a few months ago. It was nice to drive something different for a little while but it just didn't feel like home on the road. Be safe out thrre ladies and gentlemen.
