me too
looks like you are going to get away with a valve job on one hole and one new slug if you want to go the quick route.cke, BigBob410, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 15 others Thank this. -
So, other than some metal dust I really don't see much in the way of damage.
Clean her up and go back together?cke, BigBob410, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 20 others Thank this. -
Just gonna put a new head on it and run it. No visible damage to the head, but they’re cheap for an N14. No damage at all to the piston or liner that I can see. Definitely feel blessed on this deal.
Oh and I was wrong about the keeper. It’s still on the part of the valve stem that broke off. What worries me is WHY did it break? -
Maybe just a defective stem, air pocket in the metal maybe?RedForeman, cke, BigBob410 and 24 others Thank this.

That was why I said speed reading required.
Didn't you see the multiple paragraphs the quoting numbers and stats.
I loved the
" they wrote me off after I became blind in 2009 which was a really important year."cke, 7-UP, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 16 others Thank this. -
Thanks, we are getting there just slow. I worked 5 days last week, compaired to three weeks ago I couldn't stand up for more than 30 minutes or turn my head. So better than nothan. I feel worse for your situation, but looks like you may have gotten lucky.cke, BigBob410, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 18 others Thank this. -
You or @johndeere4020 know anything about the CT engine they put in those?
A few paving companies down my way ran them for a year.... didn’t last. Wonder if they were ridden with serious problems with the motor or if the truck itself was just a disaster?
I haven’t seen one of those in FOREVERcke, BigBob410, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 16 others Thank this. -
Back on the road in my 2005 International 9900ix with an ISX15 pulling a "new to me" 53' Benson all-aluminum flatbed running polished stainless steel sheets from Jersey to Tulsa. Interstate 70 westbound through Indy. I had been running a 2012 Kenworth T-660 with a Paccar/13sp combo after I picked the truck up a few months ago. It was nice to drive something different for a little while but it just didn't feel like home on the road. Be safe out thrre ladies and gentlemen.
cke, BigBob410, Shock Therapy and 9 others Thank this.
