The climate is changing, what do you expect?

Whether it is man made or natural climate change, or a combination, it is changing.
    Get used to it.

There are high wind warnings up around Weed at least twice a month. As long as you're loaded with some weight and don't go too fast, you'll do fine. About 3 miles north of Weed is the choke point where the Shasta Valley meets the hills, and that's where the wind is usually the strongest. The nice thing about this area is that you're only looking at about a 30 minute drive in the windy area between Yreka and Weed and then you're out of it for the most part. Depending on which direction you're traveling, it's either a head or tail wind. Not usually a cross wind like you would see on the 80 across Wyoming.

There are plenty of places to pull over in that area if the wind gets too strong for you.

That's a screenshot from the MyRadar app. I consult it frequently to making routing decisions. I have the wind layer and cloud layer turned on.

It's pretty neat. You can see temperatures, forecasts, and wind directions and speed anywhere in the world.

I run a lot of loads in Tornado Ally. During the season that app is on almost continuously. It's saved my bacon many times.

It is getting nuts. Lately I have been seeing stories that say the past two years the earth has been cooling because of the lack of sunspots. The Antarctic is getting larger, not smaller. Earth is ginna do what it wants and shake us off like parasites when it's ready. Great photo btw
