I love it when they get Dullies. A lot of them run illegal hauling boats. No signs, flags, Lights.

What's even funnier. When these folks that drip money, decide they can drive a trailer load of horses themselves. THEIR own high dollar horses.

Log book? What's a log book? Now that was worth the price of admission.

Take a good look at some of the RV's pulling trailers. Alot of these people have hobbies or crafts and sell between the states. The vehicles are well over 10,000 lbs and they are involved in insterstate commerce.

It is the same with alot of the Racers who run on weekends.

State of Illinois has been looking at them as well.

Many of the race haulers tend to haul vehicles for profit in their trailers when down.

Legally they need probable cause, and they have to searching for something, and tell what they are looking for. If they are on a general witch hunt and find something a lawyer will get it thrown on grounds of illegal search. The cab area and your sleeper are legally separate place also, keep your sleeper closed during inspections, if they can see iot thru the windows or open door it now opens you up to a legal search of that area. They do not need a written warrant, just probable cause. If they are going too search do your best to get a watch commander out there for the search.

Keeping your truck clean, cab uncluttered, log book readable, and a good attutiude on your part will go along way with how they treat you.

You might be surprised to find out that they DO NOT need probable cause for a stop by DOT. The suspicion of unmarked commercial business qualifies as the probable cause.
