Gordon Trucking

Cool, I have no problems staying West. The problem right now is I can't get a hold of my recruiter!

 

That's funny. If GTI is so great then why do they need to hire student drivers to keep the trucks full?

It seems if they had the best drivers since sliced bread and had such a great place to work at, experienced drivers would be falling all over themselves to work there. Like at Walmart.

Now don't get me wrong it is good that you feel good about where you work at. But saying everyone else is a misfit because they don't agree?

 

Usually it's only teams that go to the east coast. I believe a good portion of their freight out that way is ice cream.

Yep, some recruiters are writing checks they casn't cash.

 

No, they have solos in the Midwest out of the Indy and Greenbay terminals. Sometimes they will run you east from California if you have no big hurry to get home. I personally went as far as Houston in a GTI truck. So if you ask your dispatcher and you're on good terms with them, they will send u east. Believe me it gets boring just driving the western states.

 

so what new at western is w/s Iam on the gordon student list j-martin advised me a week ago i was #12 and they took 4 newbees that week now its been 3 weeks so on I suspect it will be longer then 3/4 weeks as he stated but I will wait i have done reserch there,s a lot of bad guy,s out there

 

Hey any one out there that was a recent hire at gordon and how long were you on the student list

 

bad truck drivers, I see them every day on i-80 trucks drafting each other ,driving 65 mph in the fast lane ect they are like all drivers alot of bad and only a few good

 

Hmmmm, I know you didn't see Gordon trucks drafting, especially in the fast lane. Very rarely do you even see them following each other. Until just recently the trucks were set to 62 or slower so other trucks were passing me, even in California! Just as a general rule, there are more good drivers than bad and I think if you actually drove, you might know that.
