No, All of its your fault, and until you learn to except responsibility for your actions you will never be of any value to anyone. Not even to yourself. Arrow trucking did not do anything wrong in your story, In fact they showed you way more leeway than most would have.

And since you are still new at this, I'll tell you right now. Arrow done it the RIGHT way.

Others would have left you sitting where you were, with ALL your #### stacked up beside you, and NO bus ticket.

Any company that brings you to the terminal, then fires you. Is better than 90% of the dirtbag companies out here.

PS...they know you're not coming back in a year. this is the same line of BS every company spews.

Truck driving is about the worst career a person can choose. Arrow is one of the worst companies out there. Go wait tables or bartend; you will make more money than 90% of the drivers out there and be home every night and have two days a week off (not weekends though).

I think most would disagree with this.
How can you make the statement about Arrow after only driving a year before quitting? Did you drive for Arrow?

This thread is just a reminder that trucking does attract screw-ups that refuse to take any responsibility for their actions.

Many occupations draw that type, though.

My advise would be to not discount the obvious. A good driver does not have such problems with thinking ahead and deducing the best course of action. Making sure the load is legal is the drivers responsibility. Not the company's. Speeding in a big rig is unsafe given the time and distance it takes to stop. Setting your breaks if your attention is going to be diverted is a no brainer.

You have had more problems in your short stay with Arrow then I have had in almost 2 decades of driving.

One of the first things I learned in trucking was what a immense responsibility I had been given. It is something to be proud of and not taken lightly.

My opinion is that anyone using DAC will not be hiring you for at least a year, so you will have to look elsewhere. Even then many company's will not hire you without recent experience which you will no longer have. It will be a tuff road but thats how trucking is. You screw up, and someone else will have the opportunity, and not you.

    :biggrin_2552:
:biggrin_2553:Sounds like you just to grow up and shut up. If I had been as irresponsible as you, I sure wouldn't have aired out my dirty laundry. Looking at your specs, you are 22 with less than 1 years driving exp. I'd say you are done for a couple years.
You had that load on your back long enough to weigh it SOMEWHERE before you got to MO.:biggrin_25510:
Speeding, well we all do that. Just have to suck up that one and pay more attention.:biggrin_25512:
Rolling back into the cop, your bad:biggrin_2551: nothing more can be said about that. Oh!! PAY ATTENTION!!!
You are a prime example of the "Younger Genoration" of drivers on the roads today. You think it's all fun and games and being a paid tourist is easy. I guess you just got your 1st taste of THE REAL WORLD!!! Welcome to it.

Let's just beat this goof ball in the ground, and get it over with..
"Backing into a cop car.... as a professional driver" Then, saying; "Do you think anyone will hire me" I'm not the brightest star in the sky, but this takes some real live ,Delusional thinking

    happypappy25 and bigblue19 Thank this.
