Nope. Most trips out and back to home base within Canada are usually less than 14 days. There isn't a crazy amount of back and forth on Canada for true OTR drivers, owners or company.

It's when you get busy in the US that it gets complicated. Run south, run north but not home, run south again, run northeast again not home, run west going home. Meanwhile you've put in three weeks.

It's why I love the company I work for. Guaranteed home "weekends" and 5-6 day weeks. And now I'm swimming in gravy Monday to Friday.

Got started right on time today. Got stopped by ND HP just west of Minot for a Level 3 inspection. I think he was surprised to see a white guy driving a Canadian truck, lol.

Currently unloading in 6°C weather and loving every minute of it. I could have put shorts on in Minot.

I only had to have one wisdom tooth removed. It had to be cut out in 5 pieces though. If that’s the closest I ever get to “major surgery”, I’ll be quite content with that.

Friend has a 1996 850G long track he refurbished from the ground up. One of the nicer dozers I have been on in my opinion. Great pushing power with the 6 cyl Cummins, and heavy enough to make it bite in on the steep.

I’d bet that truck needs 40 acres and a mule to turn around. :biggrin_25523:
