Years ago, I ran one overweight, got caught, got ticketed, boss said he had it. He dropped the ball and my license got suspended. Had to go back to the little county court, pay all fines, then go to the state capital fork out funds to get my CDL reinstated, then go to the local DMV to retake the written CDL test and ALL endorsements.

If the boss drops the ball, even with it in writing, you will still be the one that hangs. Now, I’m not doing one of those FearMonger things, telling people about something that happened to some other person that I can’t verify. It happened to me.

That’s why I was asking. No cuffs usually means you got a time-out and sit.

Back in the 90s when my dad was an O/O union teamster hauling steel to NYC they would always run over width and over length no permits. The 40ft sow bellies as they called em opened up to 86 ft. @stwik my dad did a lot of work at JFK airport back in the day, Chrysler building, roc center, trump towers and all around mid-town.

Run the 2 lanes like old 17 and would dodge every coop. James and the giant peach was my fav movie when I was 3-4 years old. So around that same time was my 1st trip to the big apple. You bet I made dear old dad make a pit stop to the empire st building

Any other old time teamster steel haulers in this thread? That was stupid money back in the 90s + the union bennies
