Every time I see these I've always cringed...
Never hauled them at Melton and I'm not so sure if their on SPD's list of things to do... I'd want at the minimum... two belly/choke straps front and rear, alternating straps every 6-8 feet, and a bottom layer strap every 10 and I'd still be uneasy going down the road. Just looks like one of those deals I'll never be happy with until it's off my wagon at the customer.

@ShooterK2 You will not find this on Road Hammer radio. But I am now thinking about putting a forsale sign in my ride. They make it look so fun.johndeere4020, Oxbow, BigBob410 and 11 others Thank this. -
@ShooterK2 , @sawmill , @superhauler and any other person with an older KW sleeper truck.
Have any of you guys had to replace the temp control dial for the bunk heat?
I put in a new heater core, and while I was doing that I replaced the new style electronic heat control valve. It works fine, but somehow I twisted the dam knob on the heat control to hard and broke the internals on the heat control setting dial.
It works, if I take the panel off, go back there with my ohm meter, set it at like 5.42 volts that's the coolest, 11.02 was the hottest, I set it bout 6.2 so I dont melt or freeze back there. It's a pain in the ### cause once it's set you have to pull it all apart to change voltage.
Kenworth said they are having a hard time finding a replacement. Wtfjohndeere4020, Al. Roper, Oxbow and 16 others Thank this. -

I’m not a good one to ask on this...
None of that worked when I bought my truck. I tried to replace the electric valve control but that didn’t fix it. MHC Kenworth was no help as far as info for wiring, voltage, etc. I finally gave up. Bought a choke cable and a manual heater valve and..... well you can figure it out from there.
You’ve got a lot nicer ride than I do. I’d wanna fix it right if I could.johndeere4020, Oxbow, BigBob410 and 15 others Thank this. -
Well board and sitting in line. Since there fire a month ago they still aint up to speed. This makes load 284 in the hopper for the year.

I haven't had to mess with it yet.
I did change the valve on the heater core under the bed and it will leak like a pig if you don't get the old seal all the way out and try to put it back with two in there.johndeere4020, Al. Roper, Oxbow and 16 others Thank this. -
Add in van and flat bed 360 load moved. Hmmm Idk if I ever added them all up like that.
