I called there once, was gonna place an order..The gal i talked to said it will cost more to do it over the phone..I said never mind..
If i ever get ma butt in gear ill be taken off my mirror and have a full piece made the same shape as mirror arm with a bird perch type extention all as 1 piece..Just cut out the center for the mirror wires and done..
Bolt it up (which will extend the mirror out a smidge),mount ant and done..Just run a thin bead of silicone around the edge to keep water tight and your done..
Im hopeing that with my idea it will increase the amount of metal the ant will see as counterpoise..

Other wise slow that mount looks good,1 solid piece vs 2 so less connections to cause an issue..
I bought the last 10k ant stud walcott had but the bottom part of it looked like a cheap chrome stud so i tossed the bottom part..Ill find somethin better sooner or later..

OP hasn't replied to let us know if they're new to installing a CB or using a CB. The static could be squealch. Turning a knob fixes that.

I've noticed in my new Cascadia using the factory power harness for CB, there is more noise. Going to have to run new power feed from terminals behind passenger dash.

Here’s what I had to learn to get it right on panel power:

They’ll come out the panel handhold on the lower edge near to truck center.

Both leads fused. Can’t remember if ATO or ATC type. See www.K0BG.com subsection on fuses.

www.powerwerx.com can make you a complete power lead set, fused and terminals. Inexpensive given what’s at stake. See that site: Custom DC Power Cable.

You’ll need enough length to go down to floor from studs; then to truck center to exit. It’s a little tight. Then additional to radio once past panel.

AMAZON for some inexpensive split loom to cover it. I bought 100’ of 1/4” black @ $10.

Zip ties every 6” or so.

I recommend getting SS nut and flat washers (take one nut off and into HD or Lowe’s to match thread pattern) for electrical connection.

Put the ring terminals between the washers. Plenty of length on stud to fix washer-ring-washer-nut ON TOP OF factory leads.

(You may wish to fit quick disconnects to separate power leads where it enters panel; again, see options at POWERWERX).

While using a the A-pillar panels isn’t hard, from thence inboard to radio slot has significant pinch points. I tried it and then abandoned it.

If I’d continued to use the radio slot I’d have used picture hangers to run power over from passenger A-pillar.

    Same for coax.
