13 sp Eaton in mine. Gonna have it tuned up once it's paid for.

 

Wifes gpa's funeral is Sunday at 1pm. Im only about 35mi from where they live. So gonna head over there Sat night/Sun mornin.

Im absolutely disgusted with this whole week. The only time in my life that I have been successful was when I was my own boss. I took a leap then, bought my equipment, put ads out, made calls, talked to anyone and everyone. Did well for a lot of years. When I went into trucking, I planned on doing the same and I did. O/o doing hotshot and started out ok, but got schooled by a couple slimey people. I took that gained knowledge, stepped back and said okay let me be a co driver for awhile and really learn the ropes. What its taught me (and I already knew) is as a driver no one has my best interest even remotely in mind.

I trusted family this year and they burned me. Caused me to burn a bridge with a former employer as well. Now here I am, being "a good soldier" not making waves and it has got me nowhere.

But I just had a good convo with the truck owner and we're gonna rattle some cages in the am, and also look at other options...namely mercer & ats.

 

Looking over the load boards the other day, some guy made a offer on a load that added up to $1.90 a mile!! Where do these yoyo's come from?

 

Ya'll try feeding a 230 lb 17 year old, and his friends every other weekend. Spend $300 plus on groceries and two days later gotta head back to the store.

80-83k. Not looking to make a hot rod just enough power to move out of it's own way while making decent mileage. 500-550ish is probably as high as I'm looking for really.

You will wish for more. It fairly flat up here, till you put 1300 bushel of corn in the wagon then your in the mountains!
