Might not be an option but I hear my company does some owner op stuff.

 

They come from...I dont even know. Somehow they scrape together $ for a truck with the "its good enough" attitude or they lease purchase an expensive ### truck with the thoughts of "okay this load will pay my expenses and I'll make it up on the next one and the one after that". The they lose their shirt after 6mo and disappear but after they've done the damage and screwed up rates for everyone else. I could go on and on, but Im preaching to the choir Im sure.

 

When I was that age... yeah...

You know we all say that... I remember dad waiting on his new truck to be built because of a wreck. Picked up a IH transtar cabover 238, 13 on hendrickson susp. Hooked to a set of covered wagons hauling steel for 6 months till the new FLC showed up. He said it was cheap and reliable, just had to leave the house 2 hours sooner to turn Cleveland-Detroit and home!
