Mine doesn’t have a heat shield. I just thought of it. Never seen 1 . I recently upgraded s pipe off turbo to newer design. Old design went through flex pipes a lot. I’ll havt to look at pivot system. Didn’t know it existed. Newer cab air ride sits about 5” higher. Although good hinge/ spring hanger looks a lot heavier and like too much work. I think I can just put spacers in existing hood brackets to raise them up to align with higher cab. All ideas just ideas. Would even like to go a step farther and leave hood hinges the same and cut hood sides to line up with cab. Giving it a sloped hood design like Coronado. Add before and after boxes/ tanks / steps from Coronado. My own custom Classicado!!! Lol . Lots of ideas no time money or energy to accomplish.Drive and Dream Lol

@Rideandrepair
My exhaust runs underneath the cab but I do have a heat shield on mine. Mine does have the flex pipe though.
I didn't realize the newer cabs sit so much higher. I would have to look at another truck and investigate all that stuff to see how it would work or not work. I would not want my cab 5 inches higher though that I can say for sure. The Columbia model May sit at a similar height as the FLD
If I could take the front mounts and either refabricate them or modify them so that they would take the pivot type bushing maybe it would work with all the other existing components and work at the original stock height.
Good luck with the Classicado! Nobody will ever mistake your truck for someone else's, that's for sure.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
