The bailouts will help some of the stockholders and the board and the upper management. Look at the payment of the bonuses that were made after the bailouts. Other than them, it was just a way for the government to blow our money. -
The fleetwood plant that makes motorhomes off of aqua mansa near Fontana,Ca. was open they other day when I went by there. Are they supposed to close too?

I hate this for everyone involved. On another note, I guess this makes my Fleetwood travel trailer worth less now.

It's very saddening that so many are losing their jobs.
Another thing that saddens me is to see companies that have been around for so long go away. Fleetwood has been around a long time. -
Fleetwood will continue to make motorhomes and manufactured homes as far as we were told today. just no more travel trailers.

I have an old Holiday Rambler TT. It is not in the best of shape, but if it came to a total financial disaster, it is someplace where my wife and I could live. Not ideal, of course, but at least we know we will never be homeless. -
The wife and myself have talked about if everything else went down the tubes, at least we have the camper to live in. I also have a commercial office property that is paid for we could convert to living space if things get that bad.
-
####, that shows something fundamental right there. People aren't buying campers? That is serious. I see people driving around incessantly no matter how bad this is getting so I really didn't think that would happen to Fleetwood.
Well, this is getting really bad EVERYWHERE now that is for sure and I don't think we really know how bad it IS and is GOING to get this time. I don't think the normal American has any clue. You can bet those in the know do though. There is far too much going on just for a simple downturn in the economy for sure.
The places I see closing are not normal for a simple downturn and readjustment. There is far more going on here than meets the eye I think. I do believe there are a LOT more serious surprises that await us soon...
