25mph north of 61st except that one up by the projects, I’m familiar. But I’m asking to get where? Off the island to upstate or 84/north of 84 I’d go up n around for faster time. South of there I’d cross n grab the tunnel out for time.

Well i always thaught the tunnels where closed for commercial traffic after 9/11. I just go that way to get back on 80/287/78 back to pa

Lol well... they’re pretty unfriendly towards it, but by the time you’re there.... if you have a enclosed trailer sometimes the cops will post up and want to look in the back. But you can’t really turn around or back out at that point. Toll free & unless it’s evening rush it’s fast right over to the turnpike/78 or 80. Definitely want to be 100% you’re 13’ even or lower to go thru the Lincoln tunnel. Holland tunnel is 3 axles or less, no trailers.kylefitzy and zinita17601 Thank this. -
You can run that from one side of 40 to the other, and I think it's less miles than taking 840

Sometimes it's better to nite nit bullet and pay a toll. Out of Chicago, you can take 90 east to the Indiana toll road. If you're trying to get to Indianapolis, you'll have to drop down on 41 until they finish working on 65 coming off if 90
Robert Eroica Dupea Thanks this. -
Stay on 45 north to 20 west instead of 287 through fort worth.
Stay on 25 north to 80 west instead of cutting across that fort collins road. I'll go 20 extra miles to stay on the interstate, especially if weather is badRobert Eroica Dupea Thanks this. -
That's a good idea, thank you.

We used to run the Holland tunnel till 9/11. And they can and will give you an over length ticket in Manhattan because I've gotten one on Canal St almost to the Holland and My buddy has gotten a few at the Lincoln. I used to go in the Lincoln before 5 am and you would be good but coming out in the daylight you are taking a chance.

Must’ve been one tricky ride on the entrance to the holland- that entry lane is tight like a mother####er.
“Can get a ticket” is different than “will”
It’s only $1000 anyway. Skip the VZ bridge 10 times and you’re ahead if you did get one ticket. -
Verazanno westbound costs less than the Hudson River crossings, and it's free going east. They toll the other big bridges over the Sound both ways so those cost half each way. I haven't had a reason to go out that way, lately. The company mostly runs outside carriers and a few of our teams to Brooklyn.
I've been advised it's worth it for going out to Newark and that area to use 278, the Staten Island Expressway to go back to New Jersey, where they usually let you in free, but you mostly have to pay to leave it. One exception, they don't toll 95 from Jersey to PA north of Philly.
