Overtime pay is required if they pay by the hour.

Call 1845.. They are an O/O company but they do have guys that will let you drive their trucks as a company driver. I had a buddy that did it and he made bank... He left 1845, bought his own truck and went to Landstar.

KAG West doing fuel delivery in CA does not pay OT and they pay hourly. They keep a few trucks going interstate that exempts them.

$22 an hour at 70 hours per week with OT = $97,240 (based on 5 day work week and 2 days off)
$25 per diem for only the days you work = $6,500
Hotel room would be estimated at the cost for a studio apartment at $500 a month. = $6000
Total based on information given $109,740

If you’re willing to be in ND and work on a rig C&J would most likely snap you up. You tried Schlumberger? They normally hire CDL holders. Last I heard they provide lodging, meals, and flights. First time I came up here I drove hauling frac sand and water. I personally didn’t care for water but Sand boxes were fun. Work on a rig now but going back to driving out here. If you have a CDL most companies in the oilfield as far as ND goes will hire. I get hits on indeed all the time. From what I’ve noticed they’re begging for people up here. Again, this is my experience in ND, I know you said Texas but just little info.

I haven't decided yet. I will wait till spring to start. My wife has a CDL and I'm thinking between the two of us working in trucking we can save enuff to pay off a house in 2-6 years depending on the cost of the house. In Utah you can get a nice place for under $300,000. I love the place I'm renting and it would go for $150,000

Don't go. Its very slow at the moment. Wait till late january and then investigate. Price of oil is down, so there isn't much incentive to drill. I'd wait if i were you. Just left the permian.
