I'm at the TA in Ft. Bridger, WY. My delivery is set for 1600 tomorrow in Pueblo, CO at the Target, but there is a wind warning between Rawlins and Laramie as well as between Laramie and Cheyenne. 65mph gusts until tomorrow evening.

I'll decide when I get to Rawlins if I need to shut down.

When I got to Rawlins the wind wasn't that bad yet so I headed for the Walmart in Laramie.
Did my 30 there and listened to NOAA radio for the latest wind speeds, and they still were not that bad so I continued.
It didn't get bad until I turned on to I-25 south. It was pretty heavy wind for about 20 miles, especially in Cheyenne. Then it went up and down all the way to Pueblo, but not as bad as Cheyenne.

Tomorrow morning I'm picking up a Target load headed to Casper. I'm hoping the snow coming in tonight and tomorrow won't be too bad. At least the winds should have eased up.

Albuquerque @ the terminal. Surprised how warm it was when I got here this afternoon, low 60s. I lived here for 6 years back in the 80s and it was NEVER this warm in December.

I deliver to the Walmart DC in Los Lunas tomorrow morning that back to the terminal to pick up my t-called load (already here) headed to SoCal which I'm t-calling in Phoenix.

Brentwood, Tennessee at my mom's enjoying a much needed break. I get to attend the Titan's game tomorrow in the club seats, will be my first NFL game. Now if I can get an NHL game while I'm here I'll be soooo happy.

    Casper, WY.

I was just sent a pplan that is a total of 750 miles that does not deliver until Thursday the 27th.
That sure would hose next weeks paycheck.
And, 5 days for 750 miles? Please! There has to be something better than that out of Worland.

    Edit:
I just called a planner and there is nothing better than what was offered. It was still available so I took it, and the second pplan that was sent with it.

I have 1,800 miles this week so far, on a Saturday night. I had hoped for a good week, but it looks like that is it for this week.
That second pplan is a 1650 mile run, so at least next week will be better.

Just as well, since we're quite slow right now. My husband's at home with hours but no load tonight. There are trucks parked everywhere and my coworker and I are bored silly in the shop. Strange given we are in the midst of a holiday weekend.

Why don't you get permission to go "out of route" and see your kids in Denver for Christmas?

At home (near Phoenix), planning to head out again the 27th. The trip home (from Albuquerque) was quick and uneventful.

My new tractor keeps surprising me. It gets noticably better fuel mileage than my Freightliner did with light weight loads. Two weeks ago I managed 8.5 MPG from Albuquerque to Phoenix with 25,000 in the box, got 9.5 yesterday with a 8,000 lb load of cans. It got 9.0 from Phoenix to Mobile, AL with a light weight Ross load. My Freightliner routinely got just over 8.0 with light loads but rarely 9 or better unless empty. Where the Freightliner shined was when heavy. It pulled better than my KW does and got the same mileage when heavy.
