When I was hualing produce running as a team, my brother and I went to pick up a load, the shipper charged us $300.00 fee to load the trl, boss said its good, he knew they did that and made sure the broker was getting charged for it. then get to the rec, they charged us $375.00 to unload it, boss said, yep, already billed the broker. it amazes me how these companies try this crap, but in our case, our boss, luaghed all the way to the bank, and the shipper never let us hual for them again. was fine with us.
Cant belive a shipper did this

i loved it alot better when years ago at hunt's point and brooklyn market we would get an old whino and help us lump the load....
the driver and whino made out very well....great money for us workers..
know its a big business run by the company corporate greedy no good rotten flea bag, parasites of life...
who continue to rip off the common working man and take food off are table..
i made thousands back in the day running the swinging beef and lumping my own loads for years, till the corporate greed got to jealous and put regulations on that too.. so they can add more to there millions, unreal america

1pod, I remember Hunts point with Monfort. We used to sell the fat that fell off the swingin to the bumms and orientals. Hey, it paid for the hook wash and washout. Lumpers were cheap then. We used to get 2 or 3 drivers and lump each others loads then go out and eat somewhere with the $ we saved.

Basicly your company does not know who is unloading, or loading. So if you the driver want the money just unload the trailer and turn in a reciept and you get the 300.00. They only know what you tell them. I am not going to pay someone else to to this, When I can make the money.

how about the meat plants, where you have to go in with a spotless/ washed out trailer. You check in, you show them the washed out trailer, show them the reciept, they still demand $50.00 for a washout fee. Or they reject you for a dirty trailer.

Don't forget you must have a full tank of fuel so they can run your reefer and use it for storage for 2 days before they load it and when you get it back its 1/4 tank and the tires are wore out from the yard jockey doing dough nuts in the parking lot with it.
cowboy_tech Thanks this. -
