I am considering system. I was told by system that even though I live in oregon on the Hwy 97 in lapine I don't qualify for NW region I would be on otr fleet. Also can you take truck home while on home time. What is everybody's 2 cents on this company. I talk to the recutuer about if you could bring truck home. And she could not give me a straight answers on my question. Pretty much saying she did not know.

    Thanks.

I'm just finishing up my second week driving for System Transport . I've driven just about 5800 miles.

I'm thrilled, they're keeping me busy and it hasn't been perfect but when anything's gone wrong they were falling all over themselves to fix it.

I personally live about 240 miles from my home terminal. I'm just general over the road flatbed for System. So far I am not able to take my rig home for home time so I'll be commuting in my personal vehicle.

My first home time will be after 3 weeks on the road so this coming Friday. My driver manager was very adamant that since I didn't I wouldn't be home for Thanksgiving she was going to guarantee me home for Christmas which I did not ask for. I don't do holidays so I don't really give a s*** about it but she was very adamant.

I've been driving with my CDL for about 15 months now this is the second over the road job I've had, the fourth driving job with my CDL in that time.

I have no complaints whatsoever about System Transport; they're treating me very well and I I hope to be with them for a long time to come.

At the end of my 6 weeks with System Transport and I'm still as happy as I was 4 weeks ago.

I'm helping out with some locals shuttle loads for a few days preparing to go home for Christmas Eve and Christmas and one more day and I'm very happy.

I'm taking home over twice what I was taking home with Swift.

I'm driving a lot of miles.

I'm working really hard but I feel that I'm being fairly compensated for my efforts.

Again, it's it's a company, its people and people are not perfect but like I said before every time I've had a problem they have gone out of their way to get it fixed and get it fixed right and as quickly as possible.

I definitely recommend System Transport; I hope to be with this company for a long time to come.

Definitely started to notice that within System Transport there seems to be a culture of people being really proud of being too busy to do their jobs.

This is most notable among the driver managers and Shop staff. I had problems with my windshield leaking.
I sealed it with a tube of RTV that I bought myself on my first trip back east and that solved part of the problem but I was still having some leaks on the passenger side; it took me four trips into the shop to finally get it fixed. I don't even know that it's actually fixed yet.

I've got a lot of problems with my tractor right now (480K miles on it), I'm not even bothering to get fixed because the shop is so busy that there's wait times of multiple days just to get the tractor into the shop to get it looked at and my confidence in the competence of the shop staff unfortunately it's very low and so I don't want to waste the money because it's down time getting my truck in the shop to get it fixed.

Yeah definitely becoming disillusioned with this company.

You should be getting a new tractor shortly. around 500k they go bye bye. I’m not surprised with how things are going though. Really sucks to see what they were when I first started in 2012

I took a load from Spokane down to LA for three drops in LA on the 2nd. On the 31st my driver manager got angry with me on the phone when I called in and try to find out what my delivery appointment times were.

I went in to LA with no idea what my delivery appointment times were on any of my three stops.

I had a rough idea that my first one was supposed to deliver at 7 a.m. but that was all I knew, I had to literally no idea when I was supposed to deliver the other two except I knew it was supposed to be on January 2nd.

When I was about five or six hours out, I called the truck stop at Castaic, and they had one spot left so I reserved it, paid for parking for that night.

Now mind you in two months with this company, as a long haul OTR driver, this is the second time I paid for parking.

So down there in LA, delivered my loads on the 2nd, first 2 stops up near Six Flags, last stop clear down in Long Beach, spending all day in LA, my driver manager decides to pick a fight with me about paying for parking in Los Angeles.

Yeah. I got a different driver manager after that but honestly like I said I'm just really getting disillusioned with this company, I just hate the way they do business, it's starting to look very kindergartenish to me.

Where did they want you to park at? The yard ? I never got any flack like that, but times are changing for them and not in a good way I don’t think

No suggestions or Alternatives were ever made to me paying one night for parking. When I took that up the chain of command shock was expressed that I was admonished at all for paying $18 to park a truck in Los Angeles for one night. But again that's the quality of driver managers in this industry in general.

When I was there a guy named Don was still dispatching and he was the best dispatcher I’ve ever had. So friendly and we would BS and just enjoyed it. Then they changed me to Eric and it went downhill from there. When I worked out of the AZ terminal I had a really good one for a bit then they changed on me again. I quit after that

I'm seeing a trend. The worst dispatchers and managers as far as I can tell are the ones that used to be driver's decades ago. They think they know it all, think the industry is still like it was.

Anybody that would question paying for parking one night at Castaic going into LA has no f****** idea what's going on in the world.
