When I ran NYC it was Outerbridge off of 287S which becomes. 440,also exit 11 NJTP.,Verranzano east,no toll, coming out GWB,no toll, best between 10am to 2am, 9pm to 5am. If you're running south 95, around Baltimore 695W or if 95 is bad,50-301 alt.Miami,if you don't get in before 5am you'll sit in traffic for 60m.You can take Sawgrass out of West Palm, toll road or FlaTP, big time toll.Just a couple of ways I used to run, hope it helps.

I wished Georgia built a bypass like I 840 in TN, starting in Carrolton, GA and tying back to I 20 east of Covington.

Outerbridge Crossing, Goethals, and Bayonne all toll leaving New Jersey for Staten Island. Goethals has had another bridge added and is the best actual bridge to cross, but the eastbound toll is the same as the GW.

I always had better luck on 287 through there, i80 Cheyenne to Laramie has to be the most shut down winter freeway in the country...

Look up the old plans for the far outer loop that was on the books for Atlanta; no way it would ever get done now with all the displacement it would cause but would have been nice...

Same with the old WA D.C. outer bypass that was halted/killed due to enviornmental impact.

I'm not sure what it costs without EZpass, I have taken all 3 at one time or another, the cash toll was same for all before they got us EZpass for the bridges that only have open road or pay by mail(Verazanno had the toll booths westbound removed). There are other bridges like that, too.

The Staten Island Expressway is done, much improved from the mess it was during construction.(for years)

Our backhaul(regular one) picks up in Linden, NJ now, so Goethals is the best choice westbound. I278 is STAA, 440 isn't. I never had trouble, but it's just as easy to run it like we were told.

I delivered meat and cheese to 14th. Street market(no longer there),50ft.spread,you had to park at a perfect 90°angle so cars could get by or the regular cops would write the ticket and if you didn't get there and gone by 8am,the brownies would write the ticket.Last I heard they were setting up on canal street grabbing the skateboarders coming out of Brooklyn.
