Story time!

When I used to do CAD/CNC for the woodshop we worked on quite a few interesting homes down in Naples. We’re talking 30-50 million dollar, 30,000 sqft mansions.

Well, we did a “party house” as we called it for the owner of a radio station... anyway.... swear on my life he had a shower with a glass floor directly above the living room.... I seem to have misplaced all photos but I swear it was a thing. Had a bunch of Egyptian and Greek naked carvings throughout the home as well.

Can only imagine that kinda fun he got himself into.

Let a old fart from the midwest give you a little tour of the southern part of your state....

Turn south out of your drive and find the turnpike .......when you get south of homestead take a left on cardsound road.....don't hit a Panther....big kitty's on that road....you'll end up downtown cardsound....three houses and a bar. Go in and get you a cold refreshing beverage and tell the bartender you want two orders of conch fritters. These aren't the long John silver hush puppies you get everywhere else...is long John still in business???? Don't try to get the recipe cause mama and sis won't give it up.

Your gonna want to stay but get on down the road....across the bridge take a right and you'll be back on hwy1. Your gonna go on down to Islamorada.... Now you can stop at the fish company but you can buy claws on stock island alot cheaper and get ya a hogfish sandwich so we'll skip the fish company. All them boats on the left....your gonna want to pull in there and find the tiki bar. Find you a stool and order you up a hurricane. They invented it and they know how to make it. Now don't go getting rum dumb there cause your gonna need to get on down the road. We're going to marathon.. ..

Down past the home Depot your gonna see a pig on your right...Turn right...go all the way down till ya run out of road. You walk up to the window and order a lobster rueben... Just one and split it with your girl or your gonna need a room. Wash it down with a cold refreshing beverage. Make sure ya pee before ya leave cause there ain't nothin but bridges for awhile. ..we're heading to big pine....

Your objective is no name pub....no directions to this one cause half the fun is trying to find it. Ya get ya a pizza and a cold refreshing pitcher....right the date on a bill and hang it on the wall...ceiling... Your have to put over some else's....

If ya make it all the way down to mile marker zero I'll be at Captain Tony's with a crown and coke....I'll save ya a seat.
