I agree with Rat, have the same experiences, but it could just be the random comments. RK56 is a good sounding mike too, a bit bassier I think, but the Astatics are the clearest. Clarity rules in AM over big, because big gets distorted so easily.
I hate to have to ask someone to repeat themselves, which is often. -
You too? LOL LOL LOL Glad I'm not the only one to do that! LOL LOL LOL LOL

Cbradioplus is an ecellent site to get cb stuff. The people are very nice and will do whatever it takes to satisfy you.

If you want better "clarity" from an RK56 just drill the hole till it sounds right

Just be careful and go "s l o w",one slip and the mic is toast . -
I just got a RK-56 mic n it's really helpful. I'm running a connex 4600 Turbo n my astatic 636 was good but my vioce carries better with a road King mic.

Be sure to come back in 6 or 7 months and let us know if it's still working...rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

The ones I’ve bought since 2012 (three of them) have been good.
I don’t know if it makes a difference, but they’ve been the ones boxed, sold by radio dealers.
Not in the blister packs at the truck stops.
I also use them on GEAR KEEPER retractable cords. -
Kind of hard to beat this one for 20 bucks. Add a 99 cent plug and rip out the amp and rewire from scratch, and it will last a lifetime.
