lmao I can't believe how many times I've heard versions of this story from different people.
As for myself, I don't pull flatbeds, but I have gone into the Weigh Station even just as a Bobtail thinking this was stupid, but I didn't want to deal with a DOT guy running after me.Bean Jr., jamespmack, x1Heavy and 4 others Thank this. -
Yea, let me go get my pig barn cleaning boots on. It's getting deep in here.
Bean Jr., jamespmack, cke and 2 others Thank this. -

So I don't get banned for saying what I think of that poster...
I'll just say he's even admitted in his posts that he exaggerates. Take that as you will.
Bean Jr., jamespmack, cke and 2 others Thank this. -
Last year I seen the little word at the scales on 65 south just below Elizabethtown, KY. I rolled in even though I was just bob tailing. They were busy but wanted to inspect my Tractor anyway. It's not always about the weight.Grubby, jamespmack, cke and 8 others Thank this.

If you notice, some states say "all trucks must stop" and some say "all commercial vehicles must stop".
I got into a discussion with a guy that runs a private truck, non-commercial. He normally blows the scales, but I told him he may be ok where it says "CMVs must stop", but could technically be in violation where it says "all trucks must stop".cke, peterbilt_2005 and PoleCrusher Thank this. -
I guess his "farewell address" last week was exaggerated, too.........4mer trucker, 7-UP and PoleCrusher Thank this.

I go in when hooked to a trailer. Bobtail I cruise by. Often they have a bypass lane for empties. Most scales around here only require commercial rigs over 26,000 with some exceptions. The sign at the scale going into Washington by Spokane flashed me in once when using my personal pickup with the enclosed race trailer. I laughed, and rolled right by.
