Sorry, can't help you there. Got hired and went straight to orientation right out of school. A lot of drivers try to get on with Gordon, not many make it, so if you're on the list, consider yourself one of the chosen few.:biggrin_25525:

As a student you make less per miles than those with experience, do the math. I see the old guys #####in' about no miles at the terminal, when I'm moving all the time. Saves the company $$$$$. Once you become one of the "experienced drivers", your miles will fall off also. Good luck and watch those tight docks they don't teach you about in school. My best piece of advice is to read and heed that sticker on your mirror. GOAL, get out and look. If the other drivers get pissed, screw them, they don't have to answer to the boss.

Yep if I was making starting pay I would drive 48 state and hopefully be pulling a refer box.

The more states you run and the kind of equipment you drag behind you in a down economy can do wonders for your pocket book.

Prancerdog, GTI does run all 48. I have teamed here at GTI with my brother and in that time we went all over the U.S. We have 48-state van and reefer division also. :biggrin_255:

Prancerdog, I don't know anybody now that runs in the NCA fleet, but I do know that there is a pretty high turnover in that fleet. Most all of us hate the bay area with a passion, especially SanFrancisco. It is true that they will move you into other fleets though. I have ran in the team,48-dry, and am currently in the heavyhaul division. I might go reefer here soon. I have heard that our pay is not all that great for the bay area in the past. Lots of bs and traffic to put up with too. You just have to see what works for you. I can say that GTI is a very good company to work for though.:yes2557:
