One thing I dont have and will is a Henery. I have a pre 1942 30-30 Winchester. What cal. is your Henery?

So Lysdexis said he was delivering that load into Tx. TxDot has a 2 straps in the 1st 4ft rule as well as 1 in every 10. Maybe I misread the other posts wrong, but I didnt see that covered.

I always try to carry a mix of 2x4's, 4x4's and even 4x6's if I come across them. Block the feet feet that are off the deck and sometimes I'll even tighten from the middle out or back to front. Just depending on how whatever is on the deck sits.

What was the reason chains couldn't be used?
