With training it depends on your trainers truck either 66 or 70. Believe it’s 66 when you get your own truck.

That’s right. Safety violations will bust you to 62. Don’t be that guy.

Not real happy to be honest. But all teams go through ebbs and flows. We're due for the bad end of the pendulum swing. We've had it too good for too long and we've blown two rings in recent years. I feel like my boys need to feel some pain of defeat and loss, so they can regroup and repair the chinks in the armor. It's time for some roster changes, they've been resting on their laurels for way too long.

The further I go into this psychotic life of ours, the more respect I have for safety folks in companies stocked with employee drivers. I did my time at 62 and it was awful. Not gonna lie, that just plain sucks. However, I deserved it and I paid my penance. Honestly man, I'm surprised I didn't get fired. I'm equally surprised I got approved where I'm at. I learned so much more than I realized at the time by being slowed down. Patience and economy of time, and organized running. I had no choice but to learn those things. Also learned a lot about road courtesy for other truckers. I hated every minute of it, but it taught me a lot of valuable things. I wouldn't change any of it, because I needed it. But now, I can do 80 with ease lol :biggrin_2559:

Don’t know why we haven’t done it yet but I could talk with you for hours,,,,, that coming from a hermit. I haven’t been busted down yet, maybe it’s because I do stay off folk’s bumpers even when 4 wheelers are filling the gap. I get so fn mad when they do that crap.

So far as speed, I have a 70 mph truck but I usually run about 65, 66. It’s amazing what a couple mph will save in fuel. I’ll jump on it when passing a Crete, Werner truck and if I get hung out in the left lane, welI got a little something in the back pocket.

Sitting here at the Valero fuel stop in Perry, Ga. Just got back from my sister's house having her Christmas Eve shrimp jambalaya. She’s doing a rare standing rib roast for lunch tomorrow. Color this truck driver fat and happy. Merry Christmas guys and gals.

Well sir, I am definitely willing to talk to you for hours. I always enjoy our conversations. You are my brother, man. I just get the feeling that you don't wanna be on the phone long, so I don't try to keep you on. As far as speed goes, that's a funny thing. Yes, I have a truck with zero restrictions. My normal speed is 68 in a 70.
