all i know is if you by accident hook up red to blue and blue to red. and push in trailer knob in truck. trailer brakes wont release and if you get out of truck and walk to back trailer tires. you will hear air blowing out of something. now will it happen on all trailers. maybe not. but all I asked was did he/she hook up lines backwards. the only answer i got was he's being pulling same trailer for 2 years and brake chambers are sealed. maybe i was wrong about brake chamber, but i wasnt wrong about the theory. give it a try. if it doesnt do it, then hey im wrong

Those trailers must have had universal gladhands, the red and blue ones won’t cross

I hope you don't think we don't appreciate your suggestions - it's just hard sometimes relaying answers to him and then trying to reply back (when I have no clue what he's talking about
). That being said, he has been pulling this trailer for a couple years now, backed it into the driveway over the weekend, started it up yesterday and he found this problem - was working fine before. Thought it was the main valve, replaced that this afternoon, and still the same problem. He's really stumped on this one, but will try everyone's suggestions in the morning. Has a load on that really needs to go the day after Christmas if at all possible.

But not a 2006 Mac. I can't find when they became mandatory, but I've only pulled one that didn't, and that trailer shouldn't have been purchased by my carrier!shogun Thanks this.
