Could use a few feet here, need some entertainment. Got the wife's snow shovel polished up and fresh coat of linseed oil on handle.

We got 14 inches in SW Colorado while I was out. I didn't have to chain while driving but I had to chain up just to get to my house.

If I need to put on chains it’s time to shutdown. No way I’m burning my hours driving 25 mph. Sometimes you can get away with it if it’s a small storm heading the opposite direction you’re trying to go just crawl through it. But big storms? Eh let the crazy drivers find all the slick spots so they salt them good.

I heard all of those news reports WA put out on this.
I cross Snoqualmie 25-40 times a year and I've have to throw iron plenty of times to do it... and don't mind because it's over pretty fast.

But.. I wonder HOW hard they're enforcing that ?
I always throw 2 drives and a drag.
    That's plenty.. never an issue.

I don't have time for 4 & 2 just to go 15 miles when the road is normally just slush anyway.

I wonder how many crashes are going to occur as a result of their enforcement actions? ... trucks stopped in bad places, flashing lights, you know what happens. But I see their point, but they have to do their part too. They have to work to clear the roads in a timely manner 24/7, and work to remove chain requirements in a timely manner. Not 3 hours after it's been all slush and wet pavement all the way over

Snowing like 27 mofo's from WY line through Utah on the 84 this morning at 0500. Monster wet flakes. Snowed, not like that, hard at times all the way to Jerome.

I'll stay out of Florida and run in the snow if the southeast trucks will stay in Florida and out of the snow. They make me nervous being around them after they get lost and end up where the roads get slick and/or the grades get steep.
