I'd say in all honesty probably upper mid pack. I know STL was a crap show but that's just specific to that terminal. Like FedEx and Dayton guys seem happy and get paid good, have nice equipment and get overtime. Old Dominion guys don't see much if any overtime, I think they are after 55 like Estes, but they seem happy and talk to ya on the dock and say hello. They're all pretty much comparable some might have a little better benefits here, but the pay is better over there type deal. It all pretty much evens out. With exception to UPS Freight. I think those guys cracked $30/hr AND get overtime. It really goes by who is runnin the show at your specific terminal. If your terminal manager and supervisors are decent people, you can't beat the home time and the benefits and the holidays. Just be super careful your first I think it's 90 days. You're on like a probation period thing. After that you gotta really mess up to get canned. And you came in at a good time cuz you'll have cracked that mark well in time to get paid for the holidays.

There starting me at $23. So I'm good with that. And not having to be extra board or flex starting out is more than almost everyone else offered. I appreciate your insight.

They're starting you at $23?? Well hell ya I'd be good with that too. When I started 7 years ago it was 19 and some change. And right no flex board with a set time right out of the gate is perfect. And you get raises every 6 months til you top out then it's cost of living raises after that. I think top P&D scale in St. Louis was 26 something. I'm not sure if it varies by region and cost of living or if it's a set deal throughout the company. And then you can volunteer to do linehaul on weekends too for some extra coin. Any more questions feel free to ask I'll answer them the best I can. I know how starting a new job can be you wanna get all your ducks in a row and gather as much info as you can.

    gsmith2332 Thanks this.
