Wow. Even at 4.5wks I'm surprised he wasnt told about the truck being issued out. Like I said I've heard 30days as a cutoff but idk how true that is. Hopefully someone makes it right since you're not supposed to be "punished" for taking off FMLA for anything.

    Farmer54 Thanks this.

Yeah, they're giving a 2016, I'm just surprised they gave his 2018 to someone new a week after he left, instead of an old truck. Not as many bells and whistles, but that might be a good thing.

He will probably like the 2016 better lol. None of the lane bs and speed bs. Only following distance which hes been here long enough he's already had to deal with that lol. And just think come May/June of next yr he will be in line for a brand new 2020 lol

@Diablolover2 wow. I’m surprised to read this. Someone dropped the ball somewhere. Not even a phone all. Darn it.

Pure 2nd hand info. I’m just throwing it out there in hopes that’s it true.
Looks like we might be getting a smart phone app for QC. Was msg’ing with weekend dispatch a few weeks ago and a dispatcher told me of this. That would be handy as heck.
My scenario right now,,,,, I’m 2 miles from sisters house, going back on load board in the morning, I’d sure rather be eating bacon and eggs at her house instead of sitting in my truck waiting on a msg for a load. Any of you guys gals heard this?

Yup, I've heard of it. It's a feature that companies have to activate if I'm understanding what I heard correctly. It's a feature that you can get as long as the company you run for approved it. I get one message a month, that's it. Safety Thursday. It's nice to have a quiet QC lol.

I've wished that we had the ability to read our QC messages from a smart phone ever since I started here. Some companies have had it for awhile but I figured Dan's dislike of electronic distractions is the reason we never had it, for I believe it might technically make it possible for us to read our QC messages while the truck is moving.

I just want it so that I don't have to write down load info before going into a shipper.

Havent heard that but Id definitely welcome it. Like you said @Goobr54 it'd be nice to hit ready for dispatch coming off hometime at 0600 from the comforts of my own home while I wait for a load.
