Great first post. Thank you, lots of info to digest.mlavelle3 and Kerryokie1959 Thank this.

I think I'll need some details, K. Much obliged.

I worked there around 8 years ago, after Orientation I was fired for one of the trailer tires catching on fire. It was the only tire damaged, none of the other tires had any damage at all. Terminal manager said that I was driving with the trailer brake on, the truck wouldn't pull a loaded tanker trailer with the brake onThane Thanks this.

What if you were the worst driver IRT had in 12 years?tommymonza and Elg1968 Thank this.

IRT's orientation is too far from me. If I decide on day one or day two the BS is too deep, I'll leave. I always drive my own vehicle to orientations, just in case that happens. If I take a bus ride to orientation, they cover it. If I wanna head back home because I've been lied to by a recruiter, I have to cover it, plus I have to lug all my belongings onto a Greyhound. No thanks.

IRT will reimburse you for your gas. And I drove from Tucson, Arizona to Turlock, California. IRT will also put you in a motel, also. And you don't share a room with another driver. After the one day of orientation, you are assigned a tractor and then you begin rolling. It's as simple as that.
As you know, companies that pay for your return home after either cutting you loose or if you decide to bolt are as rare as a chicken with lips, so driving yourself to orientation is highly advantageous.
Coming from CRST and Western Express, I've experienced my fair of bs, so being at IRT is heaven contrasted with an upper level of hell. Ever spend an hour on hold with the breakdown department? You won't find that at IRT.
That was one of my gripes against Welfare Express since I encountered broken equipment so frequently.
Anyway, I do hope that you reconsider.
