Since ex cons are used to living in a cell, it is my opinion that they can adapt to long hours, living in their truck and this lifestyle will give them an easier transition back to a responsible citizen.

Amazingly Mega's have not figured out how to get early release and offering training of prisoners provided the inmate signs on as driver for the rest of his/her sentence..., no doubt at a severe discount.Dave_in_AZ, Western flyer and bzinger Thank this.

Sounds like you were in there with a "captive" audience.RERM, mjd4277 and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this.

They fit right in. After all, trucking is life without parole. LOL.
And just because they are murderers doesn't necessarily make them bad people. They may have "offed" some people that needed to be "offed" LOL.intrepidor, mjd4277, IluvCATS and 3 others Thank this. -

I was a diver in the Navy. I an the other 5 enlisted divers slept in a converted gear closet on the USS Proteus.. 3 bunks on each side & we had to get ready 2 at a time. Convicts have way more living space then the avg sailor. My dad remembers when they used to just hook hammocks to the overhead to sleep.
The best recruits for trucking is x military. Discipline- Routine- Hardships- Long hours are nothing in trucking compared to the military.brysol01, Mtn Gal, Dave_in_AZ and 2 others Thank this. -
I hate to hear this, but I know that it's true. I am a former May driver.

Unfortunately, It has nothing to do with being given a second chance, because I believe in that. But May will forgive anything. The day I was leaving the company, I was talking to a driver in the terminal lounge, he was a g mouth spouting about how he just got out of jail and had a restraining order against him for spousal abuse. He was such a piece of work...I couldn't believe they hired him. He was bragging about his time served and how he was going to deal with it. May was a proving ground for me, but ####, they sure do have some scum bags working for them. I was also a trainer for this company. I'm not saying everyone is a dirt bag, but lately, they have more than there fair share.Mtn Gal Thanks this.
