Mercer cuts 200 leased truckers

I know back around the 21 Feb there were several of us teams that had come in for the weekend and it was pretty sober, one of the wives and I were talking in her truck and she said we just leased on I hope we aren't cut......we all have a serious concern because where on Earth would we go! Weekend that rumor has it 100 more to go. I know our coordinator was let go this past week.

 

Just spent 4 days in Louisville. Trailers stacked up everywhere. 2 & 3 high in the back lot, and more arriving daily. Word is that the cuts are over for now. The atmosphere was tense, But, everyone beginning to hype on the upcoming MATS show. All the drivers in town with us were great people, the kind we were used to when we first started. They may of went about these cuts in an unconventional manner that was viewed as a confusing scenerio amongst drivers, But it was generally viewed as being understandable that 'something' had to be done.

 

Thats a new problem, way to many reefers on the road now.

 

we just came through the 10th bout 2-3 in the morning....showered then left.......I know we spent the wekend up in Rogers MN with 3 other Mercer drivers......what I heard was a bit different than what was printed in Landline.......but that was understandable.......
