Brake Issue ABS Light on.

    Hello everybody, Merry Christmas & hope everyone had good Christmas.
    Please HELP fault comes INTERMITTENTLY.
    My volvo brake system is giving me alot of grief, ABS light coming ON , while driving brake pedal becomes really hard also brake performance decreases also E.S.P goes to passive mode & gets all rear axle pressure modulation faults. Sometimes fault goes away itself & sometimes it stays on till ignition is turned OFF.
    Spent alot of time & money at delearship but no luck.
    MID136 SID9 FMI2
    Please see photos attached of codes.
    Any sort of help will be much appreciated.
    Truck is FM cabover & right hand drive.

    On 2005 780. Had 2 abs faults - front axle , wheel bearing failed at 60 mph. It showed as a intermittent fault. The wheel was moving in and out. Rear axle the holder that hold the sensor broke off and it was bouncing about. both times the abs light would go off and the brakes would act funny. Hope this help.

    I have checked rear axles all seems fine, to me sounds like earth issue but don’t know where to check.

    Wire broken near rear axle, or the multi-pin gang plug under driver side. they go bad. go to the RV haulers group. they have posted the wiring manuals. Also volvo it self has the wire manual on line but you have to go backwards to find it.


    Pv776 .******9154 is wiring manual

    Finally found the problem today, so relieved.
    Ebs system one wire was earthing out & was shutting whole system down.
    So no parts needed replacing.
