I have no idea since I don't drive for them. ;) I'm just repeating what I was told.

Not sure where they are, but I've been in LA for 48 hours waiting on a dispatch. Freight hasn't necessarily "picked up".

He runs out of Georgia and freight was real low. He says it has picked up and the keep requesting for them to turn down no load.

I think they're telling us to not turn down any loads because there isn't ENOUGH freight. When they have a lot of freight, they're pretty lenient on you for turning down loads as they know someone will cover it.

No its not, in fact I give them no more then 6 months before they are on them.

I work for their "cousin" company, Central Ref. & we have been on E-logs since the 1st of the year. I didn't understand why we went paperless, but then after talking with some of the other drivers here we figured it was to test the system. Try it on the smaller fleet before pushing it on Swift. I'm sure they, like us will have nothing but trouble with them.

They can't get out of it, nobody can. In a few years all the big companies will have to be on paperless logs.

Yep, I just left JB back last year and that was something they were already testing and talking about going to. In fact they had just changed their audit process and methods of reading logs in preparation of the future change.

It's all part of the BIG GOVERNMENT plan -they want to control it all, including how much money you make & when you can make it.

As for Swift, I run into their guys out here in Texas alot hauling out of Gatorade (daycabs) and they stay very busy.

You are quoting the line they are telling you. The companies going to paperless are being required to because of DOT internal audits, so many log violations and the companies are being threatened with their authority to operate. Warner was #1 several years ago, they aren't a big company compared to others.

Well I don't know...I am just the wife of a trucker. This guy is our friend. We could probably argue all day and night but I don't want to go there plus I am only repeating what he told us. ;)
