I’m seriously considering purchasing the new VNL sometime in 2019. I thought I wanted the 860 until I was told that it doesn’t have the updated sleeper like the 760. Wasn’t able to see one in person but did get a chance to check out the 760. It’s nice. Has a longer bed vs. the 860 but a smaller fridge and less floor space. The outside looks better on the 760 as well.

A few years ago, I tried out a 780 and thought it didn’t have enough legroom because the fridge was in the way of moving the seat further back. The 760 hasn’t got that problem. The seat back slides into the sleeper unobstructed.

I wonder if that’s the case on the 860. It seems both models are the same width now. Is that the case?

    Your thoughts?

The 760 is the same width as the earlier 770, 780 and the current 860.

The 760 has the 72" sleeper vs. the 860's 77" sleeper.

Basically the 760 is a shrunken version of the 860.

I just bought the 760 2 weeks ago and space its not much different from 780/860. I have a 2012 780 also. The new ones looks shiny, but the old ones I think they drive better. Maybe I am still new with my new 760 and my opinion might change lol

The 760 split the difference between the old, small 600 series and bigger 700 series.

The new 760 has the width of the old 780 and the same as new 860.
    (It's a 700 series after all)

I think for solo drivers it's a very good size. Not too small, not excessively big.

If you're out for long periods maybe the 860 is a little better as the sleeper is essentially a 780 sleeper relabeled.

760 is a 70” sleeper vs the 860s 77” sleeper, but a huge improvement over the 670’s 61” sleeper anyways. Perfect truck for a solo driver. They do take a bit of getting used to, seem to have more body roll than previous years however once you adjust I feel they actually drive better.

The 860 has the same updates in the sleeper than the 760-none,except for the extra storage underneath the bunk bed.
Mind you the 760 has the pull out table and lift up mattress which is nice but not needed in the 860 since you have a full table
I personally prefer the 860 cause it has more room way bigger fridge and 2 drawers (I'm a drawer person)

Agree , the 780/860 is still the king, an apartment on wheels. Fridge is huge.

The new 760 is a HUGE improvement over the old sardine can sized 600 series!! Still think the fridge size sucks for a otr truck and i don't like the limited size cabinetry options compared to the 860

Add the OG 770 into the mix as King too, as the 1st Gen 770 is the one that started it all.
