Friend of mine lives at Cowley Alberta tells me the first phase they put in 30 or so years ago are being dismantled.
They're reclaiming the leases and all.
20 some years is all the darn things are good for.
Ya
talk about screwing up a beautiful part of this countries skyline. -
Speaking of replaceable teeth......
Myself and a few good freinds donate our time 1 day a year when the Heritage Farm Museum comes to life. We work the circle mill. I had just walked back from getting some tools, when one guy started a log through the blade to see what adjustments needed to be made. I was guilty myself of not looking / paying attention..... sometimes we put to much trust in others. I was by the far end of the logs waiting for the carriage to come back, suddenly the sound of metal to metal filled that holler!!!! It was obvious something got into the blade!
After looking for holes leaking on our bodies we started looking for the cause. The carriage had 3 dogs on it, since the log was short only the first 2 were used. The 3rd log dog had not been shoved in from the previous year..... yep, it got into the blade and teeth went everywhere!!! The roof, the ground, and after close examination within 3-4 feet of my head!! We found them all the way behind me past the shingle mill on the other end of the shed. Sometimes we get to comfortable in our everyday life.... I'm sure many have heard me preach safety safety safety! Trust me there is a reason for it lol.
Al. Roper, cke, PoleCrusher and 23 others Thank this. -
Yea its a big deal here in Seneca Co. east of Tiffin. I am against it. But have a sight that they may want for a lay down yard. I told the guy heading up the fight that I'm with them. But if it can't be stopped and they wanna rent my yard, its just business. They are a sham, they will never pay for themselves. They are only happening because of gov. money, or yours and my money. I can't back spending taxpayer money on a operation that is not financially stable. Then with all the normal concerns aside. If these are ever removed or fail, the large piece of concrete left in a farm field is almost to big to remove. It stinks of a scam.Al. Roper, cke, PoleCrusher and 20 others Thank this. -
It’s amazing how things like that happencke, PoleCrusher, Tug Toy and 18 others Thank this.

1914 40HP Case Steam engine being rebuilt now to go back on the sawmill at the Heritage farm museum. Freind and others are working on it now.cke, PoleCrusher, Tug Toy and 20 others Thank this. -
Was the cam checked out when you rebuilt the engine ?
Yes ? Then you shouldn't feel bad about it.
I'm sure you checked it out.
If it didn't need replacing then there was no reason to change it.
The only thing to make sure about now is whether there was a change made that wore it out and if so, correct it.
In other words, don't feel bad about it.beastr123, cke, PoleCrusher and 15 others Thank this. -
Had a big ol response typed out but like you said, don't want to turn it political, I stay out of that section for a reason.
