It's a reason why a woman should smile and smile often. Women that frown a lot become extremely scary as they age.

Got the dually up and running. Engine is ok. Trans was a quart low on fluid. Filled it up and shifting fine...go figure ! Wouldn't think a quart low would cause the shifting issue ?
Al. Roper, stwik, peterbilt_2005 and 21 others Thank this. -
Didn't you say it overheated ? That must cool more things than just the transmission to react like that for a measly quart low ?
-
New rad $160, $62 for idler pullies, $60 for new clutch hub fan. $40 for coolant. $322 all in. Could of been worse I guess.
-
Actually the trans was acting up before the other issues. I guess when your running down the road in first gear at 4000 rpms kinda has an affect on the pulley bearings that are 19 yrs old. LOL. I think the shift silinoid in trans are sticking every now and then.

This is what's left of the bearing.

Al. Roper, cke, Crusader66 and 14 others Thank this.

Got the ends done. Center is mostly sanded. The shop compressor was acting up today and a hose reel started leaking. Then my FIL needed me to bring him a prescription. So most of the day was spent dealing with other people’s crap. Brought home my laptop so I can maybe get my taxes ready tomorrow?
