If you’d a tore it apart like I did, you’d know just about as much about it as I do. Lol.

The other owner/operators around here see me doin this stuff and say “Why don’t you pay someone else to do that?” That’s when I tell em the only thing I got goin for me is I ain’t scared. I dang sure ain’t no mechanic, but it’s my truck and I wanna know as much about it as I can. So I’ll dive in. I’m dang sure not fast, but I’ll eventually get it back together.

That’s why I post pics when I’m doin stuff. There’s a lot of guys on here that have been there and done that and give me advice. This forum is a wealth of knowledge.

I’ll NEVER have the knowledge of @wore out , @OLDSKOOLERnWV , @snowman_w900 , @jamespmack and many others on here, but the more I learn about my own truck, the better I can diagnose and fix things on the road.

Ordered a cam and bearings and stuff from OKC Freightliner last Thursday. So far they’ve delivered my water pump and gaskets. So I’ve got that on and I’m about as far as I can go without the rest. I could go ahead and knock the old cam bearings out but I hate to do it without having the new ones in hand first. So I’ll just piddle today, clean stuff, and stare at it. Lol.
