I never liked Axl Rose. #####. Pure and simple, even when they were in their prime. Slash was always the cool one. He was the guy that...I'm trying to figure out how to say it... You know how James Hetfield always says that he's an ordinary guy? Well, he looks and acts ordinary. Go to toe grocery store, the pool hall, then to a sold out arena all in 1 day. Slash, in the days where all the guitar guys were trying to be androgynous and frilly (even ugly frog looking guys like CC Deville were packing makeup and pantyhose), was cool and shadowy. He "gets it."

It's probably why I prefer Maiden. Nothing pretty about them. Steve Harris is one of the best bassists that ever played. Screw being pretty and effeminate to be popular like Culture Club and Motley Crue, they're just pure hard driving metal. Yeah, you can get more attention from the media being girly, but why sell your soul to be a frilly girl group?

...anyone have any suggestions or tips for securing a 42 foot 35000# container to a 53 foot step-deck?

And don’t say just don’t I’m not in the business seat, alright...

I can't remember the name of the company...it was a mega carrier. I was cruising around 67mph. Moved left to let him on the interstate and was almost past him to go back right when I realize this fool wanted to drag race. He gets beside me, I look over at him. Of course, he won't look at me, he gets a half a trailer ahead and I drop the hammer. I pull right back beside him. He won't look at me. He topped out around 77. I grabbed my CB mic.

"Son, don't be a d!ck. When a truck moves left to let you on the road, you show him courtesy and let him go back right."

He backed out, and I went back right, and dropped back to 67 mph. He came around me a bit later well-behaved. I wonder who told truck drivers that being dickish is a good trait?

Funny thing is that most of those guys that are ok with enhancing their feminine side at the height of their careers end up looking like an old grumpy lesbian in their later years. Seen a picture of Steven Tyler lately?

The guys that are true artists make a name for themselves by mastering their craft. Just a Man and his machine, or guitar.

40 ft lower deck? Butt the heavy side against the step. Crisscross the front against the step. 2 ft overhang in the rear, short chain it and crisscross the rear, and throw 3 straps over the top.

Here's a good example. I read somewhere that this guy wore one of two blue pearl snap shirts he had on tour for months. No fancy costumes, just raw talent.

Got an 11 foot upper. In theory I’d have a 42 lower but basic measurements tells me it’s closer to 41 feet.

Haven’t seen this container yet but if it is 42 foot I’ll have one foot overhang at the minimum.

Load notes says no chains to straps over the top of the container... was thinking about two chains in the front making an “X” and then two on each side along the rails... two on the rear pulling forward?

Guess I’ll figure it out whenever I get there tomorrow...
