Made a chain rack today. Normally I would keep them out of sight but in this case, function over form.

It's made of 1 1/2" square tube 1/4" wall. 20" long.

 

It comes and goes. It’ll be derated for 50 miles and then go away, run a passive, and then come back the following morning for 50 miles.

Tom wants me to run it and get me out to Washington... unless it tells me to stop the engine.

Shrug. It’s a Cummins.

It’s silly... it’s been like this all week and they didn’t want me to sit over New Years for an intermittent problem. So until I get told to STOP I just gotta keep an eye on it...

The truck has a code reader... it’s a different code almost every morning followed by a derate that goes away within my first hour.

I’m going to California, between the Bay Area and Sacramento. Due Wednesday for a crane appointment.. may try to snag a bonus load outta Wichita if they have anything that’ll fit on my upper deck... I want some weight on the drives
