Yeah, if only 3 elog manufacturers remain, then they can raise prices as much as they want. Then they can merge and we all are going to have one "big electronic brother" to watch over us
Anyone got a ticket,,,

I've never had any of those issues with my Garmin...but then I use a dedicated tablet that stays in the truck from the time I fire it up in the morning until I park it for the night.

That’s just California. The rest of us on the other hand are actually sane, save perhaps New York or Jersey.

NJ isn't too tough with ELD enforcement. NY however has been extremely aggressive and I would make sure you have everything in order when travelling through that state.MACK E-6 Thanks this.

New York ceases ELD enforcement in wake of OOIDA lawsuit
According to that, NY can no longer enforce the ELD mandate. They can look at your screen to enforce HOS, or you can hand 'em paper logs and they can look at those...but NY never passed a law mirroring the ELD mandate and cannot enforce it without a state law.deathB4decaf, CousinVinny and Infosaur Thank this. -
Interesting,,,
Upstate NY DOT are notoriously aggressive. NYPD seems to not give a ####. It seems like once in a blue moon they'll send a couple of guys to harass trucks at Hunts Point (where the food warehouses are) but it's not like they're going to wave you off the Cross Bronx for a level 1. Frankly, there's no real estate to DO it. -
I would just get a real good lawyer and tried to fight, I’m not a over the road driver but I do local delivery, I got a ticket for improper change of lean. Because I change in front of a sheriff and he had to slow down, that’s what he literally told me so he gave me a ticket for that. Got me a lawyer and the result was (Adjudication withheld).

Im going with "this answer". With all the "updates" on my Elog...It has "broke" around once every 6 weeks.I just continue on with paper.Im not sure...but believe "there is someway for base" to fax your previous elog history to the scale" if it were to even go that far. Most scales i have encountered "see the driver running elogs sticker on the cab"...and Usually Dont even wanna See my phone.Just cab card, etc.

I'm reading the news about it this morning and my mind is blown that these knuckleheads have the balls to go out whacking people with ELD violations left and right when they don't even have their own #### in order.
