International Fault Code

have a 2007 9400i showing two faults sid231_p and sid251_a any help trouble shooting this or identifying would be appreciated.

 

The LCD display is not showing fault codes. You cannot troubleshoot from that information. If you have any warning lights, then you need a proper scan tool to retrieve the codes. If you have no warning lights on, ignore those messages. International never intended the LCD to be a code reader and many are displayed in error.

 

I’m having these same exact lights come on , on a 2011 int prostar. The yellow triangle, the TC and the stop engine light , and the abs module * light comes on the lcd, I turn the key , and hear all 4 modules click, but it don’t dot spit. We hooked it to a pc no codes.. only “ power break supply “ the stop engine light comes on shortly after cranking the truck, but after warming the engine and rebooting the system by holding the “ cruise on and cruise resume “ it goes off

 

Ok, I'll tell you how I would approach this... I would connect Navistar Engine Diagnostic software program to it to read the codes. This is the Navistar program the dealers use. Other off-brands of software don't always report the codes properly. If the engine has no codes, then I would connect Diamond Logic Builder software program to it to see what the body controller is logging. Then I would connect Bendix ACom or Meritor ToolBox software program to it to check what the abs is logging and go from there.
