Oh yea, I really need to put an eld on my mechanical engine that is in a truck that only is used roughly 30000 miles a year. Yep, that will save the world. And raise my annual insurance bill too, that will make me so much safer.

    Spoken like a good lemming.

That is not what the idiot from Maverick is purporting. ELD's were put in place in order to make us all safer. That's what the traveling band of clowns from the FMCSA and it's alliances pushed.

Now the clowns are pushing speed limiters, collision avoidance systems, etc, because ELD's supposedly didn't make us any safer.

    What a joke...

I suppose you'll be lining up to get your inward facing camera soon too? Or do you already have one? LOL

I am in compliance without a log book because I rarely leave a 100 mile radius. But according to you I should have to run an eld because I run under an exemption.

    Brilliant.

Nope. No camera. But nice try Sparky.

You keep licking that OOIDA hand and believe they are going to fight the TCA.

No real issue with the pre2000 deal.
Huge issue with the fallacy agriculture can not run an eld. Or that the Sikhs should be exempt for religion.

You are not eld exempt because of the 100 mile rule. You are exempt from RODS. Not sure how that works being pre2000.

I would have to look and frankly don't give a crap enough to bother.

I'm sure you can read champ, FMCSA position is that ELD was mandated in order to "create a safer work environment for drivers."

By preventing company sponsored redrawing of lines. Not in a crash prevention method.

I am exempt for needing to run a log less than 8 days in 30.

You threw out a blanket statement about "ending all BS eld exemptions ", but don't give a crap enough to bother to think about how it would affect anyone else.
