I'm sitting at the Sumner WA Swift terminal waiting for a load. As it is Friday afternoon, my chances are slim to none. I just QC'ed my paycheck for next week's net: $23.53!!
My gf makes more than that in an hour! I was on days off (4) but still, c'mon? I will be starved out very soon and I'm not a big eater. I have apps out for local, but I don't have enough time in the saddle, so I'm sure that isn't going anywher until my year is in..
what to do...what to do.... -
I saw that QC message. In context it was saying BECAUSE freight is slow, nobody needs to turn down loads. I ended up with some short hops into LA that were a big hassle and low pay, but I took them to be a team player. What comes around, goes around..

Any Swifties who doubt the paperless logs.....(Lost in Montana).......
wise up....try sending a mac 30 or 31 or 32 or 33, or 34.......
DOH!!!!! paperless logs!! the syatem is in place, just ironing out the kinks.
have fun. -
I JUST saw those macros today. I was looking for another macro and came across those.
-
I knew we could join on common ground BB....these folks need a union according your script....every hour in the truck to be paid for...Safety.....thanks for the promo...!

Those macros have been in the QC for almost 2 years now, you tellin me you just noticed them?

The paperless logs are an even bigger hassle to the DOT scale personell, just ask one next time you go over a scale. With the paperless, they have problems with the plug in system at the scales, sometimes they don't access the unit. (could it be the "smooth" roads we run on scrambling the system)
The black box you already have with you, anyone with Quallcomm or the other two systems keeps track of your every movement, RPM, speed, geer use, engine time. And now with the advanced warning systems, side proximity warning, approaching vehicle, I think its the VODAR or something like that, anyway its all in place and not the Gvernment wanting it, its the insurance companies demanding it. (Even for those claiming "self insured". -
wont happen. have fun.

Evidently Swift has not purchased any Freightliners in a few years. They have been buying just Volvos. Freightliner caught Swift screwing around with the trucks and turning in a bunch of repairs under warrenty work, and refused to sell any more trucks to Swift. And of course good old Volvo is owned by who??? Why good old Ford Motor Company.
