I am applying for Schneider and they told me I can be wearing Bluetooth anything while in the truck ? Does this mean we can’t listen to anything with headphones while driving ? I listen to audio books.
Schnieders no Bluetooth policy

If they can enforce it with a driver facing camera somewhere then you cannot. Not with them. If there isnt then it's unenforceable.

Shouldn't have to listen to audiobooks through a headset just hook your device up to the radio via AUX port or bluetooth
Maverick Griff, Lite bug, polo king 92 and 5 others Thank this. -
Or worst case, a bluetooth to FM transmitter.
Somethign like this..... https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM...1-4&keywords=bluetooth+fm+transmitter+for+car
You should not be wearing headphones while driving. You need to be able to hear outside noises.Maverick Griff, Sirscrapntruckalot, GrandmaRosa and 3 others Thank this. -
Got it, was just wondering if u can at least have one headphone in while driving but if that’s not what most people do then I understand. Thanks for the info.

I talked to the recruiter Saturday and she said no Bluetooth devices at all. Not even to connect music to the audio system. Also, no APU's in a lot of the trucks and from what I have heard from other drivers: no idling allowed for AC. That is the deal breaker for me. Too bad, Schneider seems like a good company.
Maverick Griff, GrandmaRosa and Badmon Thank this. -
Actually, the recruiter said, "No talking while driving." I assume that means CB's as well.
Maverick Griff and Lite bug Thank this. -

When I was there it wasn't even remotely enforced. Every driver at an oc looked like they were working at the drive thru. Dont rat yourself out and you'll be fine
Maverick Griff, Box of Tj, Badmon and 5 others Thank this.
