So....

New driver loaded the truck up for the first time today. Formerly an LTL driver, also did regional food service deliveries. So no flatbed experience. (To be fair: I didn't have any flatbed experience when I started here, just Dry Van and Wood Chips-- well I try not to count flat bed trailers pulled behind pick-em up trucks).

Had to make a few corrections to how he loaded things on account of "How exactly are you going to secure that?" issues popping up. Keeping an eye on him put me behind on the pile of other things I needed to do today, most of which wound up being put on the list for tomorrow.

Had to laugh to myself a little bit though. He said of his load to day "man, that was a pain in the butt...."

Ah, he doesn't know what he's in for.

"THOU HAST NOT SEEN THINGS IN THEIR ENTIRETY YET SIR, STEEL THINE SELF......FOR THINGS HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO GET JANKY"
