Sonora Texas Loves is finally open.

"Love when people post about things they know nothing about, sure are lot of oil field service companies for a place that ain’t the oil field! ,"


Sort of like the Terlingua area uses Alpine for street addresses despite being 98 miles south of Alpine. Deep West Texas is odd.

Sonora and Junction have historically had lots of companies based there that provide services to the oilfields of the Permian Basin and even some drilling in the immediate area, but the oilfield concentration is further West - Odessa, Midland, Pecos, Van Horn etc.

 

No peeing on the new parking lot !

 

I wonder if when a new RV park opens up if they have to tell the patrons "please use the restroom respect your fellow traveler and refrain from peeing on the parking lot"

 

Sonora isnt the bustling oilfields like Midland/Odessa area. Hell it isnt even as busy as S. Tx.

Im sure I'll be back out that way in a few weeks and if I remember I'll post pics of what I bet is the parking lot full of steering wheel holding dry van'ers.

 

Make sure you park half-grass and take up two spots so you fit in with the rest of the oilfield crowd. They will think you know what you are doing and leave you alone.

 

Wow that's nice if only they could put a few new ones up in L.A. they'd get so much business oh well guess i'll continue to dream on.

 

Im a flatbedder so I always make sure to park just slightly crooked
